Is Hope
Alive? A double-eyed man would not appreciate who he is until he loses one eye.
A one-eyed man would not appreciate who he is until he loses the remaining eye. A no-eye
man would not appreciate his state until he broke one limb.
And the one-legged
man would not appreciate who he is until he starts breathing with an artificial
respirator.Friend,
don’t be an ingrate. Know this for sure, “HOPE IS ALWAYS ALIVE AFTER SELF
APPRECIATION”. However take note that, appreciating who you are presently
doesn’t mean you should dream small or settle for
less. What I’m emphasizing on is that you should always appreciate who you are per-time so that when you get to the top you would know the value of the position. Has it occurred to you before, in a case where you are aspiring to upgrade from a smaller phone, say i-phone 5, to a bigger phone, say i-phone 6; but you could not afford the bigger phone at the moment? You started complaining or bugging your parent about getting the new one.
You wouldn’t appreciate the value of that i-phone 5 until the phone mistakenly fall, got broken and the calibrator started malfunctioning. It is at that moment you would know how to appreciate the value of that smaller one. I repeat again, do not have a small picture in your head. Aspire for good and big things of life. If you would know how to appreciate a small thing per-time, when you get that bigger thing of your dream, you would know how to appreciate it more. Another thing you need to know is the fact that human want is never satisfied. You would keep wanting for more, irrespective of what you have, where you are or who you are.
I remember when the present president of America, Mr. Barrack Obama, was interviewed lately in a 60 minute programme; he said something that gave me concern about human. He said “he is sure he would win the election for the third term if the chance were to be”. He was just being typical of how human being always want more. Despite the fact that this man attained the highest, (and if not the greatest position on planet earth), he still wanted more.
Mind you, I’m not castigating my role Model, President Obama; what I was trying to show is how much man would always want more. You are the best of your kind, and no man should get you intimidated. Remember this always "THE LEAST AMONG US CAN ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST. You don't have to compare yourself with others because the fact that you are a diamond in the gutter now doesn't mean your own time to shine won't come". Is hope alive?
